Building bookshelves for people in difficult circumstances

Implementing Plan No. 40/KH-CB, dated May 14, 2025 of the Lang Son Province General Social Protection Facility Party Cell on implementing the model and project "Skilled Mass Mobilization - Building a bookcase for people in difficult circumstances at the Facility" in 2025 and activities towards the 85th anniversary of the Bac Son Uprising (September 27, 1940 - September 27, 2025), on September 26, 2025, the General Social Protection Facility Party Cell organized a handover program and put the bookcase into operation to serve people in especially difficult circumstances who are being cared for at the Facility.

Children and the elderly participated in reading books in front of delegates attending the handover ceremony.

The delivered bookcase includes 918 books with a variety of content, from children's books, comics, life skills books to educational books, popular science books and books for the elderly. In addition to the above types of books and stories, the Party Cell has supported the decoration of the reading room to create a beautiful space to attract readers. This is a spiritual gift to contribute to creating conditions for people in especially difficult circumstances to access knowledge, nurture dreams and encourage the spirit of overcoming difficulties to rise up in life.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, comrade Vy Thi Thanh, Secretary of the Party Cell affirmed, “The construction of the bookcase not only has the meaning of supporting learning but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and sharing of the Party Cell collective towards those in difficult circumstances. This is also a concrete action to study and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh , associated with building a reading culture in the community.”

The representative of the Leadership of the Department of Management and Care of Subjects of the Comprehensive Social Protection Facility received the bookcase and expressed his respect and deep thanks to the Party Cell for their attention and practical support, and committed to effectively managing, exploiting and promoting the bookcase in educating and nurturing the spirit of subjects in especially difficult circumstances.
