Honoring authors whose works are circled differently from the image 1 — Vietnam News Agency organized the 6th "Golden Moment" Press Photo Awards Ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Golden Moment Award Council, General Director of Vietnam News Agency Vu Viet Trang affirmed: In its 6th year, the contest continues to be a big playground for journalists and photographers across the country, reflecting all aspects of life.

Through photojournalistic works, it shows the courage and willingness to devote of journalists and photographers when pursuing events.

Taking the example of the tragic fire at the mini apartment building in Thanh Xuan, Hanoi , on the night of September 12, Ms. Vu Viet Trang commented: “Reporters and photographers not only reflected the tragedy of the fire, the bravery of those working in rescue and relief work, but also showed images of humanity in times of trouble. From there, viewers both shared the loss of those involved and appreciated the efforts of the photographers on the front lines.”

After nearly 2 months of launching, the 2023 Golden Moment Photojournalism Contest received the participation of 556 authors from all over the country, including 4,102 single photos and 587 photo sets.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 22 works. Among them, the single photo category had 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes, no first or special prize. In addition to one special prize, the photo series category had 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes.

After the award ceremony, the exhibition, consisting of 28 photos/photo sets, will be displayed on the 1st floor of the National News Agency Building (5 Ly Thuong Kiet) from September 15.

Honoring authors whose works are circled differently from the image 3 — VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang presented the Special Prize to author representative Nguyen Tien Anh Tuan.

At the ceremony, the organizers awarded the Special Prize - the highest prize of the contest - to the photo series "'King Cobra' Su-30MK2 performing at the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnam Defense Exhibition 2022" by author Nguyen Tien Anh Tuan (Hanoi).

The photo series captures impressive moments when the Su-30MK2 squadron (belonging to Air Force Regiments 923 and 927, Division 371) flew and fired artillery shells in the sky of Hanoi on December 8, creating an impressive and rare scene for the people.
