Southern Power Corporation works with the Department of Industry and Trade

On May 31, Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) had a working session with the Department of Industry and Trade on the implementation status and difficulties related to site clearance compensation for power projects invested by EVN in the province.

At the meeting, EVNSPC leaders briefly reported on the implementation of the two solar power plant projects Phuoc Thai 2 and Phuoc Thai 3; and reported on five power projects related to: 110kV Phuoc Thai-Phuoc Huu and Phuoc Thai-Phuoc Huu DL1 lines; Ninh Phuoc-Tuy Phong-Phan Ri circuit 2 line with a total length of 60.1 km passing through the two provinces of Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan ; increasing the cross-section of the 110kV Da Nhim-TB 220kV Thap Cham line with a line length of about 50.98 km; Upgrading and increasing the cross-section of the 110kV Da Nhim-Ha Song Pha-Ninh Son-Thap Cham line with a line length of about 42.75 km; replacing the conductors of the 110kV 174 Thap Cham-Ninh Phuoc line with a length of 15.58 km. Up to now, the projects still have some difficulties and problems related to compensation and site clearance for households.

In order to contribute to increasing the power supply for the load in the region and neighboring areas, completing the 110kV grid to ensure the reliability and safety of power supply; at the same time, improving the capacity to release the capacity of renewable energy sources in the province into the national grid system, contributing to promoting the province's economic growth, the Department of Industry and Trade and EVNSPC have discussed and agreed to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the People's Committees of the districts: Ninh Son, Ninh Phuoc, Thuan Bac, Thuan Nam, Bac Ai, Phan Rang-Thap Cham City to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work to mobilize households to agree to hand over the site early so that the construction unit can carry out the project on schedule; at the same time, take resolute measures to handle households that obstruct or do not comply with the laws and policies on compensation, support, and site clearance.

* On the same day, the working delegation of the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) had a working session with Ninh Thuan Power Company (PC Ninh Thuan) on the dry season power supply situation, solutions to implement voluntary non-commercial load adjustment, electricity saving and communication work in 2023.

At the meeting, the leader of Ninh Thuan PC said that, in the face of the difficult situation of electricity supply in the dry season, the Company always strictly follows the direction of EVNSPC, implements solutions to save electricity and maximize the exploitation of power sources. Specifically, Ninh Thuan PC requires its affiliated units to review the work needs on the power grid and promptly register a plan to focus on implementation during the dry season (May, June and July 2023). Contact and report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade of the province on the difficult situation of electricity supply in the current period for timely direction. Proceed to mobilize maximum rooftop solar power sources and small hydropower plants under the control of Ninh Thuan Dispatch Center. Strengthen coordination with media agencies to propagate solutions to use electricity economically during the hot season to all departments, branches, organizations, businesses and people in the province. Thanks to that, in the first 4 months of 2023, PC Ninh Thuan saved more than 5.5 million kWh.

* During the working trip to Ninh Thuan province, the EVNSPC delegation visited a number of large-scale electricity production customers such as: Thong Thuan Company Limited in Thanh Hai Industrial Park (Phan Rang-Thap Cham City) and Phong Phu Home Textile Joint Stock Company (Ninh Son).

Leaders of EVNSPC and PC Ninh Thuan visited and gave gifts to Thong Thuan Company Limited for having a plan to use electricity economically.

At the places visited, EVNSPC leaders hoped that businesses would continue to pay attention and proactively implement electricity saving work, contributing to ensuring stable power sources, serving socio-economic development in the coming time.

* On the occasion of Workers' Month and Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023, EVNSPC leaders visited and presented 20 million VND to encourage the staff of Ninh Son Power Branch to overcome difficulties and successfully complete assigned tasks.
