Ho Chi Minh City officially has streets named after Do Muoi, Le Kha Phieu, Le Duc Anh, Phan Van Khai

The 10th term People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City has passed a resolution on naming streets, public works and adjusting routes in Ho Chi Minh City.

On December 11, the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, 20th session, approved the decision to rename 18 streets in the city.

Accordingly, National Highway 1 through the city is divided into three sections with three different names. Section one is 21km long, from Thu Duc intersection (old Tram 2 intersection) to An Suong intersection, named after Do Muoi; section two is more than 14km long from An Suong to An Lac, will be named after Le Duc Anh; section three from An Lac to Long An province border, 9.4km long, will be named after Le Kha Phieu.

On Highway 22, the 10km section from the intersection of Highway 1 to An Ha Bridge will be named Le Quang Dao; the 20km section from An Ha Bridge to the Tay Ninh provincial border will be named Phan Van Khai.

National Highway 50 from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Long An province border (8.5km long) was renamed Van Tien Dung and National Highway 1K through the city area, more than 1.8km long, was named Hoang Cam.

The People's Council also approved the renaming of some streets in District 12. In particular, Trung My Tay 13 Street was renamed Phan Van Hum; Trung My Tay 2A Street was renamed Nguyen Thi Tren; Trung My Tay 7A Street was renamed Dong Tien; Thoi An 03 Street was renamed Ba Du; Thoi An 06 Street was renamed Tran Van Lam; Tan Thoi Nhat 21 Street was renamed Le Thi Anh; D32 Street was renamed Tham The Ha; D1 Street was renamed Huynh Tan Chua; D27 Street was renamed Nam Dinh; Hiep Thanh 11 Street was renamed Nguyen Van Van.

In District 7, Street No. 67 was renamed Ngo Thi Bi. Street No. 9 and Street No. 32 were renamed Vo Thi Dang.

In Tan Phu district, N1 road was renamed Tan Thanh. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council agreed to adjust the route of Dam Than Huy road from 122m to more than 1.3km and Nguyen Xuan Khoat road from more than 1.2km to more than 1.4km.

The City People's Council also agreed to officially name the park in front of the Reunification Hall in District 1 as April 30 Park. The bridge to Kim Cuong Island (Thu Duc City) was named Tran Quy Kien Bridge.
