Within the framework of the ITB Asia 2025 International Tourism Fair, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism organized a program to promote Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism in Singapore from October 14 to 19.

The program aims to introduce the Vietnamese tourism brand and the destination of Ho Chi Minh City - a dynamic megacity after the merger, possessing a rich tourism ecosystem, to international partners, airlines, travel businesses and tourism management agencies in Singapore and the Asian region.

The program also creates conditions for Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism businesses to access market trends, consumer behavior and needs of international visitors, especially Asian visitors.

From there, businesses have a basis to research and develop typical tourism products such as MICE, high-end beach resorts, cultural - historical and culinary tourism, contributing to attracting international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City after expanding its administrative boundaries.

Participating in this fair, the tourism industry of Ho Chi Minh City and businesses also promote connections and cooperation with corporations, travel agencies, event organizations and global tourism associations. Thereby, enhancing the capacity to promote, advertise and consolidate the position of Ho Chi Minh City on the world tourism map.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Singapore is a traditional and key market for Vietnamese tourism in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

The organization of this program not only promotes bilateral tourism cooperation but also enhances the presence of Ho Chi Minh City as a dynamic and attractive destination in the ASEAN region and internationally. This is also an opportunity for businesses of the two countries to meet, exchange, and expand cooperation opportunities, aiming at sustainable development of the regional tourism industry.

The program is one of the specific activities to realize the goal of increasing tourist growth to Ho Chi Minh City, so that culture and tourism become one of the five pillars of economic development in the period of 2026 - 2030 according to the spirit of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress.
