Highway experience

- From now on, if you go to Phan Thiet, just go up Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway and speed along the long road, both fast and healthy for tourists and skilled drivers!

- Yes, let's go buy sugar, whoever loses the bet will lose a few cases of beer for the whole group! Poet and businessman Diep Bui of Thai origin humorously concluded.

The self-proclaimed professors of the "144 Coffee" association applauded Sao Mai's initiative. After a 5-day holiday, Sao Mai kept their word, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, the whole group implemented the highway experience. The journey diary was automatically recorded by Sao Mai using 4.0 technology: At 8:00 a.m., the Ford Everest, driven by driver Vu Phong, started the engine and departed from Vung Tau beach; arrived at the Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway intersection at 9:10 a.m.; arrived at the Dau Giay intersection at 10:20 a.m. When arriving at the outskirts of Phan Thiet, the highway was temporarily blocked - the connection point with the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway was scheduled to explode champagne for the inauguration on May 19. The Ford Everest turned right for more than 1 km to meet National Highway 1A, drove another 15 km to reach the center of Phan Thiet, the clock hands pointed to exactly 10:45 a.m. In conclusion, Vung Tau - Phan Thiet, taking the highway takes 2 hours and 45 minutes.

On the way back to Vung Tau, the whole group followed the coastal route Phan Thiet - La Gi - Ho Tram - Long Hai, departing at 2:30 PM, arriving at Vung Tau at 5:50 PM, travel time 3 hours 20 minutes, almost 1 hour slower than going by highway. Obviously, the suggestion of Thai-born poet and businessman Diep Bui was absolutely correct - feng shui master Quang Vinh lost the bet and handed over 2 cases of beer to the whole group.

Upon hearing the news, when arriving in Phan Thiet, the Binh Thuan Newspaper colleagues enthusiastically welcomed the Sao Mai group at the Bien Dong seafood restaurant, 100% happy, except for the driver Vu Phong who drank Vinh Hao water, in case the traffic police blew the whistle to measure alcohol concentration. Sao Mai, on behalf of the group, invited friends from Binh Thuan, to come here to do a similar "highway experience" trip. The whole group clapped their hands, experiencing the high speed, fast, healthy, convenient.

With the highway experience, you can feel some major features:

- Highways are the standard choice, the "golden key" to activate large economic zones, promoting tourism development. Wherever roads are opened, economic and social life improves, cultural light flows in. The government and localities have their own mechanisms for highway projects, harmony between the top and the bottom. To promote highways, mobilizing budget capital is not enough, there needs to be a mechanism to mobilize social resources. Dau Giay - Phan Thiet Highway, each side has only 2 lanes, in the future when there is more capital, it needs to be expanded. Dau Giay - Phan Thiet Highway does not pass through residential areas and has been inaugurated, but the overpasses are not complete, there is a lack of exits, at this time only 3/7 intersections are exploited, there are no rest stops; the phone signal on the highway is unstable.

- With the expressway, the beautiful coastal route Vung Tau - Cua Lap - Long Hai - Ho Tram - La Gi - Phan Thiet has become "crowded", the coastal distance is shorter but the travel time is longer than the expressway. It is time to expand and upgrade the road surface quality of the coastal route connecting Binh Thuan with Ba Ria - Vung Tau, shortening the travel time to facilitate tourism and economic zone connections. Along with the expressway network, the system of synchronous connecting belt roads needs to be invested soon.
