• Exciting mini Ngo boat racing to celebrate KaThina Offering Ceremony 2025

Buddhists offer robes and essential items to monks.

The Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony (also known as the Kasaya Offering Ceremony) takes place every year from the 15th day of the 9th to the 10th day of the lunar month. It is an occasion for Buddhists and Khmer people to express their respect and pray for favorable weather, peace and happiness.

Monks and Buddhists pray for favorable weather and a peaceful life.

The central meaning of the ceremony is to protect the Triple Gem, offer robes and essential items to monks, thereby cultivating merit, spreading joy and peace to both the giver and the receiver. This is also a vivid expression of the spirit of solidarity, kindness, and joining hands to build a rich cultural and spiritual life in Khmer villages and hamlets.

On this occasion, Rach Giong Pagoda presented 150 gifts (rice and cash) to support people in difficulty.

Along with solemn Buddhist rituals, volunteer activities and cultural exchanges have created a joyful, united and rich-in-identity atmosphere in the community. On this occasion, Rach Giong Pagoda mobilized benefactors to support 150 gifts (including rice and cash) for people in difficult circumstances, contributing to sharing love and spreading the spirit of mutual love.

Previously, on October 11, a mini Ngo boat race took place to celebrate the Kathina Offering Ceremony in 2025.
