Ward Women's Union encourages members to start a business

Practical and timely capital

Recently, the Women's Union of Phu Xuan Ward has disbursed NAV capital to 86 female members with a total amount of 430 million VND. This capital creates conditions for women to invest in business and small-scale trading. Although the loan amount for each household is not large, the timely support has helped many families reduce difficulties and stabilize their lives.

The Ward Women's Union also supported 34 members with interest-free loans with a total cost of 384 million VND, creating conditions and encouraging women to boldly invest in production and business development.

The story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan is a proof. From preferential loans through the Women's Union channel, she boldly started a business with the vegetarian culinary model "Tinh Tam Quan" at 279 Tang Bat Ho. After a period of opening, Ms. Lan's vegetarian restaurant gradually became stable. The business model not only helps her family have more income and stabilize the economy , but the model also spreads a green lifestyle, providing healthy meals. Boldly starting a business not only demonstrates the spirit of bravery and creativity, but Ms. Lan is also a motivational example of the spirit of daring to think and daring to do of Phu Xuan women in the new era.

Ms. Dao Quang Thuong My at 62 Phung Hung Street borrowed 70 million VND to develop a business model of breakfast, coffee, selling street food at lunch, and noodle soup in the afternoon, bringing a stable source of income for her family. “At first, I thought about borrowing money, I was hesitant, afraid that it would not be effective, and that I would have no capital to pay back. With the encouragement of the ward Women's Union officials, I overcame my worries and boldly borrowed money to start a business. Up to now, the family's economic development model has gradually stabilized and has a source of income,” Ms. My confided.

Effective capital management, creating trust for members

Not only stopping at timely disbursement of preferential capital sources through the association's channel, the Women's Union of Phu Xuan Ward also performed well in loan management, effectively implementing joint programs of signing trust loans with the Social Policy Bank. Up to now, the total outstanding loan balance in the ward has reached 108 billion VND, with 2,660 households borrowing from 60 loan groups.

At the same time, the Association also maintains and manages capital sources from Vikki Digital Bank and Loc Phat Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank; promptly disburses NAV and CODEV capital sources with an annual scale of over 400 million VND to nearly 100 female members. Thanks to that, more and more women have access to preferential loans to start businesses, expand production and improve the quality of life.

Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Quyen, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Phu Xuan Ward, said: "We identify supporting members to access preferential loans as one of the key tasks. Capital not only helps women reduce their economic burden, but also encourages them to boldly start a business, promoting their role in local socio-economic development. The Women's Union of the ward will continue to diversify capital channels, expand links with credit institutions to create more opportunities for members to develop sustainable production and business."

Thanks to loan support programs, many women in Phu Xuan ward have been affirming their role and position, not only in the family but also in the community. Business models initiated by women are increasingly diverse and creative, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the ward.

With the support and assistance from the Women's Union of Phu Xuan Ward, women of Phu Xuan Ward have more motivation and confidence to start a business, develop the economy, and build a prosperous, progressive, and happy family.
