"Right-hand man" of coach Kluivert in the Indonesian team
Coach Denny Landzaat and Alex Pastoor are the number 1 assistants of Coach Kluivert in the Indonesian team, along with Mr. Gerald Vanenburg (who also serves as the coach of the U.23 team) as a technical assistant. However, this team is likely to be broken up soon, after Ajax Club wants to invite Mr. Landzaat to return to the country to be an assistant to Coach John Heitinga.

"Ajax is looking for an experienced assistant to coach John Heitinga to prepare for next season. According to Dutch newspaper Voetbal International , Mr. Denny Landzaat is being targeted as the number 1 choice of this famous club," CNN Indonesia said.
Also according to this leading newspaper in Indonesia: "Mr. Landzaat is likely to join Ajax, because he has been officially invited by coach John Heitinga. These are two people who used to be players in Ajax's training center. Mr. Landzaat has experience working in a top football environment, both as a player and as a coach as he is now. The fact that Ajax will participate in the Champions League next season is also a convincing factor for coach Landzaat to return to the Netherlands and Europe to work."
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has not commented on the above news. However, the country's press assesses that the coaching staff of the archipelago team in the upcoming period of preparation for the fourth qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia will have a huge change. Coach Kluivert will most likely lose a very effective support arm, making the goal of finding a ticket to the final round very difficult.
Indonesia, along with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq and Oman, are the six teams participating in the fourth qualifying round of the Asian region, competing for the remaining two official tickets to the 2026 World Cup. This round is divided into two groups, determined to play in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The draw ceremony will take place on July 17.
The fourth qualifying round for Asia will take place from October 8 to 14. With 6 teams, divided into 2 groups, the top team in each group will win the remaining 2 official tickets to the 2026 World Cup. The two second-placed teams in each group will compete in a play-off match (2 home and away matches), with the winning team entering the Intercontinental play-off round to compete for 2 wildcard tickets.
