International University - where talents are trained for the country

As a multidisciplinary university, including natural sciences , engineering and technology and social sciences, with the goal of becoming one of the leading research-oriented universities in Vietnam and in the region, capable of training and providing high-quality human resources to meet the development and integration needs of the country. To achieve that goal, International University (IU) has constantly innovated its management mechanism, made persistent efforts to build its staff, improve training quality, develop scientific research capacity, transfer technology and serve the community.

After more than 21 years of establishment and development, International University has become one of the prestigious public universities in the Vietnamese university education system with a series of training programs meeting international and domestic assessment standards. In 2022, the school was honored to be one of 7 universities in Vietnam meeting international training standards (announced by the Ministry of Education and Training).

Over the past 21 years, the school has trained 10,110 bachelors, engineers, 1,041 masters, and 15 doctors. The International University currently has more than 10,000 students and nearly 600 postgraduate students and researchers; the proportion of lecturers with doctoral degrees is more than 70%.

The International University currently has 10 faculties and 2 departments under the school with 23 undergraduate training programs granted by the school, 23 undergraduate programs in association with prestigious, high-ranking partners in the world in North America - Europe - Australia, 11 master's programs and 5 doctoral programs. In addition, the school also has 21 dual training programs and 7 joint training programs from university to graduate school.

The school has received 479 international students for exchange and credit studies, and 2,320 international students and pupils for cultural and academic exchanges with 63 delegations. It has received 48 foreign lecturers and specialists for short-term exchanges, and sent 283 students for annual exchange studies, 247 students for short-term exchanges, and 17 lecturers and specialists for exchange and training abroad.

International University is always proactive in implementing, connecting, and maintaining links with the innovative startup ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City and internationally.

The school has received many prestigious national and international awards.

Every year, the International University spends over 11 billion VND to grant scholarships to students with good results.

From 2012 to now, on average, each year, about 95% of graduates have jobs suitable to their training profession within one year after graduation. Also according to the assessment of the employers, 94% of businesses are satisfied with the training quality from the school. Many bachelors and engineers after graduation have received scholarships from prestigious universities at home and abroad, achieving many scientific research achievements. Among them, many former students have become young lecturers of the school.
