From a village girl to a school sports "star"

At Ky Ha Secondary School, the name Ha Nhat Bang is no longer strange to teachers and friends. Not only is he a good student and a good boy, Bang is also a typical face in the sports movement of the school and the locality.

Born into a fishing family in Hai Ninh ward, Ha Nhat Bang soon got used to the hard life of a fishing village. His parents were fishermen, the family's economy was still difficult, but it was in that environment that aroused in Nhat Bang the desire to excel in studying, a burning passion for sports with the inherent qualities of a "fisherman".

In a small house filled with laughter, Nhat Bang's parents never stop talking about their daughter's arduous journey. Mr. Ha Dinh Trung - her father shared: "The life of a fishing family is quite difficult, but Bang is always obedient and knows how to help her parents with housework. Seeing her passion for studying and sports, her parents always encourage her and try to create the best conditions. Her achievements today are a great source of pride for the whole family...".

Since childhood, Nhat Bang has shown flexibility and agility. But it was not until 6th grade that the opportunity to come to sports really opened up, when teacher Le Xuan Truong - physical education teacher, discovered her outstanding qualities. "Right from the first physical test, I saw that Bang had rare speed, jumping power and determination. If trained properly, she will go very far..." teacher Truong recalled.

With the dedicated guidance of Mr. Truong and her own perseverance, Nhat Bang quickly revealed her passion and outstanding ability on the running track, and then continuously reaped admirable successes. In just a few years, from a student who had just learned to run, she has continuously made her mark with a series of awards: first prize in 200m, 400m at Ky Anh town level, second prize in 400m, third prize in 800m and second prize in 50m swimming at provincial level (school year 2023-2024). Bang's most memorable memory was when he participated in the 400m race at the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024. Although he was a bit overwhelmed by the stadium with thousands of spectators, he still put all his effort into breaking through and winning the bronze medal. That was the moment that helped him gain more confidence and determination to pursue a sports career.

Not only talented in sports, for many years, Nhat Bang has also been an exemplary Red Star cadre, enthusiastic in the work of the Youth Union.

Not only good at sports, Nhat Bang is also an excellent student, always maintaining high academic achievements for many years. At school, she is known by teachers and friends as an excellent "red star cadre", exemplary in all activities.

Ms. Hoang Tuyet Mai - homeroom teacher of class 9C commented: " The valuable thing about Bang is balance. He studies well, lives in harmony, and always helps his friends. His sports achievements do not make him complacent, but make him more mature and responsible...".

In the role of a red star cadre, Nhat Bang is always enthusiastic and devoted to the group, reminding friends to maintain discipline and build a civilized classroom. Friends in class 9C often mention her with love and respect: she is both a good student and a close friend, ready to share and encourage everyone. Her maturity and responsibility at the age of 15 make her a spiritual support for many of her peers.

It is the combination of academic achievement, moral qualities and sports talent that has created a well-rounded Ha Nhat Bang, truly a "beautiful flower" in the flower garden of Ky Ha Secondary School.

Nhat Bang always dreamed of one day becoming a professional athlete.

Sharing about her dream, Nhat Bang confided: "I dream of one day becoming a professional athlete, but more importantly, I want my peers to practice together to have good health, so that sports become the joy and strength of youth...".

These are not the passing words of a 9th grade girl, but a true aspiration nurtured from personal experience. On her training journey, Bang clearly understands the value that sports bring: physical flexibility, mental endurance, and the joy of team bonding. She always believes that a young generation who loves sports will be a generation rich in energy, able to overcome difficulties and dare to conquer new heights.

With determination, talent and spirit of constant improvement, Ha Nhat Bang was chosen as one of many outstanding individuals honored as a typical advanced example in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025 of Ha Tinh .
