Remembering heroic martyrs, showing gratitude to those with meritorious services

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the morning of July 24, Vung Tau and Rach Dua wards and Long Son commune (HCMC) organized many activities to commemorate heroic martyrs and pay tribute to war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

In Vung Tau ward, the incense offering ceremony took place solemnly at the Martyrs' Memorial, Martyrs' Temple and the monument commemorating the battle at the Palace Hotel. More than 500 delegates including leaders, officials, armed forces, teachers, students and people of Vung Tau and Rach Dua wards attended, offered incense, laid wreaths, and commemorated the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.

On the same day, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Son commune organized 10 delegations to visit and present gifts to 100 meritorious people in the area. At the places visited, the commune leaders expressed their deep gratitude to the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of martyrs; at the same time, they hoped that the families would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition and be a shining example for the younger generation.
