Vietnam U19 women's team meets Thailand in Southeast Asia final

Vietnam's U19 women's team showed their superior strength when they defeated Indonesia 4-0 to win the right to play in the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship.

Vietnam U19 women's team is rated much higher than Indonesia U19 women's team in the semi-final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 women's tournament. And the reality on the field has soon shown the dominance of the girls in red.

Right from the 10th minute, Hong Minh opened the score with a beautiful free kick. However, after the early goal, the girls in red suddenly slowed down, creating conditions for Indonesia to regain control of the game.

However, before the first half ended, Hoang Van still managed to raise the score to 2-0 after a favorable assist from Hoai Trinh.

In the second half, U19 Vietnam continued to increase the pressure. In the 48th minute, Thanh Hieu accelerated on the left wing before assisting Hoai Trinh to tap the ball into the net, raising the score to 3-0.

Just 5 minutes later, captain Hoang Van completed his double, sealing a 4-0 victory after a series of shots in the penalty area. Despite many good chances, coach Okiyama Masahiko’s players could not score more goals.

Convincingly defeating Indonesia, Vietnam U19 women's team will face Thailand U19 women's team in the final - the team that defeated Myanmar 5-1 in the other semi-final. The match promises to be dramatic between the two biggest forces in the region, at 6:30 p.m. on June 18, at Thong Nhat Stadium.
