The Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones to coordinate with the heads of educational units to monitor and update forecasts about storm Matmo to proactively respond.

Based on the storm's developments, warnings of dangerous weather conditions and the actual situation of schools and localities, heads of educational institutions proactively decide to let students stay home from school, adjust schedules and teaching methods appropriately to ensure absolute safety for students and teachers. Units must promptly notify the plan before 9:00 p.m. tonight.
The Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City also requested educational units to deploy storm-prevention plans, assign tasks to forces and ensure conditions for on-duty deployment; closely coordinate with local authorities in reviewing, preparing and arranging facilities at schools as temporary storm shelters for people when requested.
At Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, at 6:00 p.m. this afternoon, the school's Board of Directors issued a notice to all students to stay home from school to avoid the storm.
Make-up classes will be arranged by the school at a suitable time.
