Nurturing young scientific talent

In recent times, Danang University has had effective models for nurturing and fostering scientific talents, contributing to meeting the tasks of developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Over the years, Danang University has continuously organized the “Student Scientific Research Award” and the “Young Creativity Festival”; thereby creating opportunities for students to continue to improve their research results, participate in high-level competitions as well as apply and start a business in the future.

Typically, the first prize in the field of natural science, engineering and technology this year belongs to the group of students Phan Thi Minh Hang and Tran Thi Thanh Thanh (Vietnam - UK Research and Training Institute, Danang University) with the topic: "Developing environmentally friendly electrolytes for sustainable electrochromic devices: A green approach for smart greenhouses". The students' research results have been published in prestigious international journals (Scopus, Q1).

From the launching pad of this award, students of Danang University have achieved many outstanding achievements in regional and national science, innovation and startup competitions. Typically, the First Prize of the National Student Scientific Research Award 2024, the First Prize of the National Startup Creative Ideas Competition SV_STARTUP 2024...

Danang University directs and creates a learning, research and inspirational environment for learners at member training institutions such as: Startup Runway Competition (University of Economics ), "Student Startup - Leading the Future" Competition (University of Education), Technology Startup Competition among students (Danang University Student Association)...

Thanks to that, there are more and more useful innovative results and products being applied to serve the community such as: "Tool to support farmers in pulling beans", applied in Tuy Loan, Da Nang city (won the First Prize of the 7th EPICS Community Service Engineering Project Competition) or "Automatic label checking system, from tank to packaging" (Champion of the eProjects Innovation Showcase Competition - 2025) by students of the University of Science and Technology - Da Nang University.

Notably, in the 2025-2026 school year, Danang University will resolutely implement 11 key tasks, including "prioritizing funding for students' scientific research activities; encouraging and creating conditions for students to participate in competitions and awards at all levels...

In fact, among the 27 excellent topics selected from member training institutions of Danang University to participate in the "Student Scientific Research Award" for the 2024 - 2025 school year, many topics have effectively applied 4.0 technology. Including: "Research on the application of deep learning techniques to detect and minimize DNS Abuse websites" in information security and network security (student group of Vietnam - Korea University of Information Technology and Communications (Danang University); "Building a mobile application to warn of the risk of myocardial infarction through self-designed wearable devices" (student group of Technical Education University - Danang University) ...

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Principal of Vietnam - Korea University of Information Technology and Communications, the school always focuses on helping students develop creative thinking, keeping up with the trend of the 4.0 industrial revolution such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data (Big Data), blockchain, internet of things (IoT)...
