Raising awareness of information security for union members and youth

(DN) - Within the framework of the activities of the Dong Nai Province Youth Pioneers for Innovation Day 2025, on the morning of October 10, Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union organized an Information Security Training program in the digital age.

Attending the program, cadres, union members and youth in the province listened to speaker Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC), an expert from the National Cyber ​​Security and Monitoring Center, share about the current state of cyber fraud in Vietnam; the damages caused by cyber fraud; common forms of fraud today and the groups of victims that fraudsters often target to commit fraud.

In addition, speaker Ngo Minh Hieu provided more information about the current situation of online fraud and kidnapping that has been happening recently, fraudulent calls impersonating authorities, fraudulent calls impersonating relatives and friends, etc. At the same time, he provided some solutions to secure personal information by verifying through software and websites; basic account security solutions using multi-factor authentication; password management; privacy control; backing up accounts and passwords in a safe place; all personal information on social networking platforms.

Regarding online kidnapping scams, speaker Ngo Minh Hieu said that when union members and young people receive calls impersonating authorities, they need to stay calm, not panic; not provide personal information; not install any software requested by others; and not self-isolate at the request of others.

To protect personal information and avoid legal trouble, young people should absolutely not provide biometric facial features, sell account numbers, or give their bank cards to anyone for payment...

Through training to improve understanding of information security for union members and youth, contributing to building a civilized, safe and healthy network environment.
