At the University-Enterprise Cooperation Forum organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in August, Danang University and its member schools signed cooperation agreements with pioneering corporations and enterprises in key and strategic technology sectors and fields such as CT Group, Navigos Group, Thaco Industries, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company.

The main content of the minutes signed between the parties is cooperation in training high-quality human resources; research and technology transfer in strategic technology fields (Artificial Intelligence; blockchain; big data, cloud computing, quantum; next-generation mobile networks (5G/6G); robotics and automation technology; semiconductor chips; energy technology, advanced materials, etc.); support for innovative startups, etc.

This is a suitable direction in the spirit of the Law amending and supplementing the Law on Higher Education No. 34/2018/QH14 on creating a legal corridor to promote university-enterprise cooperation and Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Currently, Danang University has more than 230 laboratories and 6 multi-purpose buildings to fully meet the needs of learning and research covering many specialized fields from engineering - technology, basic sciences to social sciences, humanities and arts.

Laboratories and research centers are continuously modernized through key investment programs, in-depth investment, ODA loan projects and international cooperation programs. In particular, Danang University focuses on developing new generation learning and practice spaces, closely linked to the 4.0 technology trend and practical needs of businesses.

Notable projects include the cooperation between the University of Technology and Fujikin Corporation to form the Innovation Space; the cooperation between the University of Technology and Fujikin, FPT Software, Renesas, Cadence, Unitec to form the Microchip Design Lab.

Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology cooperates with Nam Long Group to build a Lab for experimentation and research of new technologies. University of Economics cooperates with Military Bank to form a Digital Innovation Space.

University of Technical Education cooperated with Accretech Vietnam Co., Ltd. to build a precision measurement room, Midea Group launched an international vocational training room, Techworld Company deployed the Nocode/Lowcode platform...

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Le Hung, Principal of the University of Technical Education, Danang University, said that the school continuously strengthens cooperation with technology enterprises to invest in practice rooms and software to support students in studying and researching. This cooperation contributes to creating an environment for students to practice on the equipment that businesses are using, narrowing the gap between the classroom and reality.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Principal of the University of Science and Technology, Danang University, also said that the cooperation of businesses with the school in training and scientific research helps students after graduation to be able to meet the job requirements immediately without needing much further training.

For example, about 70-80% of the engineers of microchip design companies in the city are alumni of the University of Technology. The number of engineers who are alumni of the school working in microchip-related companies with branches in Da Nang accounts for a fairly high proportion, ranging from 40% to 80% of the total number of engineers at the companies; especially at Renesas Company, this proportion is 100%...
