Currently, in heavily affected localities such as Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Ninh , etc., the authorities and rescue forces are still working day and night, making efforts to ensure people's safety and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

On social networks, a series of information about damage, relief, and sharing are continuously posted. But among the official news, many people take advantage of the natural disaster situation to spread fake news, scam, and profit. They impersonate the Red Cross, impersonate reputable charitable organizations, create fanpages, run ads, call for support for people in flood-hit areas... to appropriate money.

To proactively prevent and combat fraud during and after floods, people need to:

- Be vigilant, do not transfer donations to accounts of unknown origin, carefully verify the calling organization before donating. When detecting suspicious signs, immediately report to the police for timely handling.

- People in flood-affected areas should only receive support information from local authorities, not follow instructions from strange phone numbers, not install applications or access links of unknown origin.

- Any unusual signs must be promptly reported to the police or the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal for support and to ensure security and order after natural disasters.
