Painter Tran The Vinh marked his impressive return with the exhibition Dance of a Thousand Flowers, which just opened at Maii Gallery Art Space (Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), running until October 27.
With strong brush strokes, thick strokes of the putty knife and random splashes of color, Vinh leads the viewer from surprise to... astonishment. Under his creativity, colors refuse to stay still but burst out, collide, creating a stage of emotions.
Looking at Tran The Vinh’s paintings, one not only sees flowers, but also seems to hear the breath of the earth, the wind, and the explosion of life in Da Lat. It is this expression that gives Vinh’s paintings a special magic, drawing viewers into mysterious streams of emotions.

Dance of a Thousand Flowers : An Invisible Orchestra Plays a Mesmerizing Waltz
In Dance of a Thousand Flowers , it is still Da Lat of Thousands of Flowers, still the free spirit and the vibrant colors, but the audience also has a visual support, a shape, a shadow to sympathize. That is also Vinh's new step forward: always wanting to conquer more new creative levels in his career.
When viewing Tran The Vinh's paintings, painter Phan Trong Van commented: "Vinh's paintings are not the type of paintings of flowers that allow people to identify each petal and pistil. Vinh 'teased' flowers into colors, into patches, into fiery brushstrokes. Red, orange, and yellow explode like fire. Blue and purple hang down like the shadows of a rainforest. Standing in front of the paintings, many times we don't know what kind of flower it is, but we can feel the rhythm in our hearts - as if an invisible orchestra was playing a 'waltz' of thousands of flowers."

"Vinh paints not to tell stories, but to overwhelm people. Overwhelmed by color, overwhelmed by rhythm, overwhelmed by the surging energy of Dalat, with flowers as an excuse," curator Phan Trong Van shared.

As a curator, Phan Trong Van said: "Tran The Vinh does not paint flowers, but paints life, paints something so brilliant that it almost explodes. And that is the coolest thing about Dance of a Thousand Flowers . To put it simply, Vinh paints not to tell a story, but to overwhelm people. Overwhelmed by color, overwhelmed by rhythm, overwhelmed by the surging energy of Da Lat, with flowers as an excuse."
And with the new series in Dance of a Thousand Flowers , it can be seen that Tran The Vinh has taken a step further in his personal journey: from expression to manifestation, from form to dance. Therefore, Dance of a Thousand Flowers is not only a name, but also a visual and spiritual state that he respectfully and sincerely sends to the viewers of his paintings.
