Accordingly, Cat Tien National Park was honored in the following categories: Biodiversity Conservation Category, this is the highest award for the continuous efforts in biodiversity conservation, protecting typical tropical forest ecosystems, home to hundreds of rare species; Ecotourism Promotion Category, this award recognizes the way to promote the image of responsible, friendly and nature-respecting ecotourism of Cat Tien National Park - where tourists not only come to explore , but also to understand and love the value of the forest; Destination Governance Category award, to honor the sustainable destination governance model, with harmonious coordination between management agencies, communities and stakeholders in ecotourism conservation and development; Community Champion Category, recognizing the active participation of the local community, working together to preserve and spread the spirit of living in harmony with nature.

According to Mr. Tran Van Binh, Cat Tien National Park is the only unit in Vietnam to be awarded tourism prizes from the Asian Ecotourism Network. This is not only the pride of Cat Tien National Park but also the mark of Vietnam on the international ecotourism map. The awards demonstrate the commitment to developing tourism associated with nature conservation, for a green and sustainable future of Cat Tien National Park over the years.
In addition to the four international awards just received, during its operation, the National Park has also been honored to receive many prestigious and important awards in carrying out the task of preserving Vietnam's biodiversity.

Specifically, in 2001, Cat Tien National Park was recognized by UNESCO as the 411th biosphere reserve in the world (the second biosphere reserve in Vietnam). In 2005, Bau Sau wetland of Cat Tien National Park was recognized by the Ramsar Convention Secretariat and included in the list of wetlands of international importance. This is the 1,499th wetland in the world and the second in Vietnam. In 2012, Cat Tien National Park was recognized by the Government as a special national monument. In 2024, Cat Tien National Park was officially recognized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as the 72nd protected area in the world to achieve the IUCN Green List title.

Cat Tien National Park has a total area of nearly 72 thousand hectares, is one of the world biosphere reserves in Vietnam, and is also known as the "common home" of animals with high biodiversity. Up to now, the National Park has more than 1,700 animal species and more than 1,600 plant species.
