Vingroup asks Dong Nai to support construction survey to serve research and design of High-speed Railway project

(DN) - On October 13, according to the Provincial People's Committee, Vingroup Corporation - Joint Stock Company (Vingroup Corporation) sent an official dispatch to the Provincial People's Committee regarding support for conducting construction surveys to serve the research and design of the High-speed Railway Project on the North-South axis through the province.

According to Vingroup Corporation, on May 15, 2025, the Government Office issued Notice No. 230/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on the investment proposal for the North-South High-Speed Railway Project of VinSpeed High-Speed Railway Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (VinSpeed Company). The conclusion assigned VinSpeed Company to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Finance to complete the investment plan dossier, make a comparison between the two investment plans between the state and the private sector, clarifying the feasibility, completion progress, investment efficiency... thereby, proving the advantages of private investment: faster, cheaper, more effective.

VinSpeed Company is a member of the Vingroup ecosystem, established with the mission of investing and developing high-speed railway infrastructure in Vietnam. In order for VinSpeed Company to have data and conduct design research, complete the investment plan dossier for the North-South High-Speed Railway Project, Vingroup signed a contract with Nam Ha Noi Land and Construction Company Limited to conduct topographic survey work along the project route with the following tasks: Burying coordinate height markers, class IV lines, measuring the ground control grid; measuring height control; LiDAR scanning with digital photography and creating maps. Therefore, Vingroup Corporation requests the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, where the route passes, to consider, approve and create conditions for the survey unit to carry out the above activities in accordance with the provisions of law and instructions of the competent authorities.

Vingroup Corporation also committed to requiring contractors to comply with regulations on security, order and environmental protection during the survey process; not to affect people's lives and property; and to restore the original state of technical infrastructure (sidewalks, roads, etc.) after the survey.

At the end of November 2024, the investment policy for the North-South High-Speed Railway Project was approved by the National Assembly. Accordingly, this high-speed railway line is more than 1,500 km long, starting at Ngoc Hoi Station (Hanoi Capital), ending at Thu Thiem Station (Ho Chi Minh City).

According to the approved project documents, the North-South high-speed railway section passing through Dong Nai province is about 82km long. In the province, it is planned to arrange 1 passenger station at Long Thanh International Airport; 1 cargo station in Quang Tien commune, old Trang Bom district (now Trang Bom commune); 2 technical maintenance stations in the communes: Xuan Tam, old Xuan Loc district (now Xuan Hoa commune) and Cam Duong commune, old Long Thanh district (now Xuan Duong commune).
