Mr. Huynh Son Tuan, Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Hai commune, Head of Delegation Group No. 36, Ho Chi Minh City People's Council spoke at the citizen reception in the third quarter of 2025 in Long Hai commune.

At the meeting, regarding the issue of seafood exploitation, Long Hai commune citizens reflected and proposed a number of issues such as: The People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City should soon have a policy to support fishermen in terms of maintenance fees for fishing vessel tracking devices, so that the authorities can manage the location of fishermen's boats. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of the work of preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

Faced with the current difficulties in fishing for seafood by fishermen in Long Hai commune due to increasingly depleted fishing grounds, many fishing boats are stranded or sold as scrap, Long Hai commune residents requested the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City to recommend the Government to have a policy to specifically regulate the time allowed to exploit seafood and the time not allowed to exploit seafood during the year to regenerate aquatic resources.

Citizens of Long Hai commune also hope that the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to implement the projects and plans in Resolution No. 14 dated November 20, 2018 of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee on "Building and developing Long Hai urban area for the period up to 2020, with a vision to 2030" and Resolution No. 05 dated May 31, 2023 of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Council on "Provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050", so that Long Hai commune can awaken its potential for spiritual, ecological, and resort tourism, a brand that has existed for many decades, contributing to making Long Hai commune a tourist city.

Delegation Group No. 36 has acknowledged and said that it will synthesize the opinions and recommendations of Long Hai commune residents and send them to competent authorities for resolution in the upcoming session of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.
