In the men's tournament, The Cong Tan Cang Club won an impressive 3-0 victory over former champion Sanest Khanh Hoa in the first round of the second phase of the national volleyball championship yesterday. With this result, The Cong Tan Cang team reached 12 points and is sure to be in the semi-finals. Previously, the two teams that had already won tickets to the semi-finals were Ho Chi Minh City Police and Border Guard thanks to 5 consecutive wins. The Ho Chi Minh City Police team consolidated their top position in the rankings with their 6th victory over Da Nang last night with a score of 3-0.

Thus, in the men's tournament, 3 tickets to the semi-finals have been determined: Ho Chi Minh City Police, Border Guard, Tan Cang The Cong. The remaining ticket is a competition between 4 teams: Da Nang (7 points), LPBank Ninh Binh (6 points), Sanest Khanh Hoa (6 points) and Tay Ninh (4 points).

In the women's tournament, 3 teams have also been determined to enter the semi-finals early: LPBank Ninh Binh (14 points), VTV Binh Dien Long An (12 points), and the Industrial and Commercial Bank (12 points). The remaining ticket is the competition between the Information Corps (9 points) and Duc Giang Chemicals (8 points).

The home men's team plays an important match to hunt for tickets to the national volleyball semi-finals.

Today (October 8), the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship continues with two matches in the women's tournament between host LP Bank Ninh Binh and the Information Corps (12:00), Ho Chi Minh City and VTV Binh Dien Long An (17:30) and two matches in the men's tournament between Tay Ninh and Hanoi (14:30), LPBank Ninh Binh and Border Guard (20:00). The highlight match is in the men's category when host LPBank Ninh Binh puts all their efforts into competing with the defending champion Border Guard to hunt for a ticket to the semi-finals.
