Building a friendly and prosperous community between Hai Phong and China

Speaking at the program, Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, said that the Vietnam - China Friendship Exchange Program 2025 takes place in the context of the very good development of the relationship between Vietnam and China.

In Hai Phong, in the field of people-to-people exchange, in recent times, the city has had many exciting activities contributing to promoting friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries. Today's friendly exchange program, focusing on people-to-people exchange and connecting businesses of the two countries, once again affirmed the vitality and potential for cooperation in the field of people-to-people exchange and economic cooperation between Hai Phong and Chinese businesses and partners. This is an opportunity to strengthen the traditional friendship between Hai Phong and China, at the same time, to share and seek new cooperation opportunities and build a friendly, prosperous community, sharing benefits and development in Hai Phong city.

According to Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Hai Phong city always identifies cooperation with Chinese localities and enterprises as one of the top priorities in foreign affairs, promoting cooperation and investment. Hai Phong currently has cooperative and friendly relations with 6 localities of China. Recently, the city has welcomed many large Chinese business delegations and business associations to work and learn about the investment and business environment, thereby contributing to expanding opportunities for trade connection, strengthening the cooperative and solidarity relationship, and development between the people, localities, enterprises of China and Hai Phong city.

Regarding investment activities, the city currently has 1,737 FDI projects from 44 countries and territories with a total investment capital of 50.3 billion USD, of which 769 investment projects come from China with a total capital of 12.77 billion USD, accounting for over 1/4 of the total FDI capital attracted in the city. The presence and increasing investment projects of Chinese enterprises have been making an important contribution to the economic and social development of Hai Phong city.

At the program, investors all affirmed Hai Phong's outstanding changes in administrative reform, investment attraction, and promoting cooperation between Hai Phong city in particular, Vietnam in general, and China.

Ms. Cao Ping, General Director of ADHES Packaging Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that Hai Phong is a port city, the gateway to the Northern region of Vietnam. The city not only possesses a strategic geographical location but also has strong industrial development capacity and open market prospects.

In recent years, the city government has made great efforts in reforming administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment, and the approval procedures are increasingly fast. All of this demonstrates the strong commitment of Hai Phong city to the business community and investors. Together with Hai Phong, the Vietnam - China Friendship Association of the city has brought to the Vietnam - China friendship a lasting, warm, meaningful vitality, while creating a solid foundation for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
