Thua Thien Hue Construction and Installation (HUB) will pay 15% dividend in shares

On June 25, Thua Thien Hue Construction will close the list of shareholders to pay dividends for 2024. Dividends will be paid entirely in shares at a rate of 15%, meaning that shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 15 new shares.

With 26.3 million shares in circulation, it is estimated that HUB will issue more than 3.94 million shares to complete this payment. The capital source for implementation is taken from the company's undistributed profit after tax.

In terms of business activities, in the first quarter of 2025, Thua Thien Hue Construction recorded revenue of VND 73 billion, down 3.8% over the same period, profit after tax reached VND 11.8 billion, down 39.9% over the same period last year.

The main reason was identified as the gross profit margin narrowed significantly from 28.7% in the same period to 18.5%. At the same time, increased selling, administrative and financial expenses impacted the final profit.

In 2025, Thua Thien Hue Construction plans to have a revenue of 400 billion VND, and an expected profit after tax of 65 billion VND. Thus, ending the first quarter of 2025 with a profit after tax of 11.8 billion VND, Thua Thien Hue Construction has completed 18.2% of the 2025 plan.

To achieve the set target, HUB will need to make a breakthrough in the remaining quarters, based on three main business areas: construction, industrial production (concrete, construction materials) and real estate business.

In particular, the real estate sector with existing projects in Thua Thien Hue is considered one of the important factors contributing to the company's profit structure in the coming time.
