The PowHERful Vietnamese Female Student Forum within the framework of the PowHERful campaign was held at the Student Cultural House in the urban area of Ho Chi Minh City National University with 2 sessions in the morning and afternoon on October 29.

The program has a bilingual discussion (English - Vietnamese)
The morning panel discussion with speakers who are inspirational figures in many fields on 3 topics: "Beauty of 'thousand likes': Overcoming pressure from social networks", "Breaking barriers: Escaping traditional gender stereotypes" and "Dare to be different: Stories from women who follow their passion". The panel discussion brought to the female students real-life stories of the speakers, from which they offered useful lessons, experiences and advice.
Female student Van Thi Muoi Ngoc (3rd year student, majoring in information technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education), the third moderator of the discussion, shared: "Listening directly to the sharing from the speakers today is a great and rare opportunity for me. It has also given me more motivation to continue on the path I have chosen."
In the afternoon session, 1,000 female students present at the event will be divided into small groups to participate in training sessions on skills in preparing documents and job interviews, and managing personal finances.
Female students consult job information at career fair
The forum also organizes a career fair with the aim of providing an initial idea of some future career options.
"I had a great experience participating in the forum. The lessons the forum brings will be valuable lessons that can be applied to life. I learned a lot after participating in the event, the most special thing is to have confidence in myself, dare to think, dare to do, dare to express myself and break my limits", Do Trinh Huyen Trang, an 11th grade student at Vo Truong Toan High School ( Dong Nai province) shared her feelings about the event.
Trang also said that the most impressive saying from the female student during the discussion was "there are no limits, but the limits are set by yourself". This saying inspired Trang to try to become the best version of herself.
PowHERful is a nationwide campaign implemented by Saigon Children's Charity in collaboration with the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD). The campaign calls for joint action for a future where children and adolescents are developed without being limited by gender barriers. In addition to the PowHERful Vietnamese Girls' Forum, the campaign also launched research on barriers that girls in Vietnam may be facing in the educational environment.
Ms. Angelique Masse-Nguyen, Chair of Saigonchildren's PowHERful Board, shared: "I am proud to have successfully organized this forum event. This is a call for young girls across Vietnam to dare to have great aspirations and realize their inner strength. Let the stories we share be a source of inspiration to ignite your desire."
