On the afternoon of October 9, in Hanoi, the third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" in 2025 officially entered the final round.

According to the organizing committee, after nearly 4 months of launching, the Secretariat - Synthesis of the third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" in 2025 received 1,040 press works submitted.

Through the process of independent assessment and focused discussion, with an objective and impartial spirit, the preliminary sub-committees selected 122 best works for the final round, distributed by press type as follows: 25 print newspapers, 30 electronic newspapers, 22 radio works, 25 television works, and 20 photojournalism works.

Speaking at the opening of the final round, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized that our Party and State always pay special attention to cultural development through the issuance of many Resolutions on culture. Currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is drafting a Resolution of the Politburo on the revival and development of Vietnamese culture in the new era. When issued, the Resolution will create a strong driving force for the development of Vietnamese culture in the new period.

With the positive changes in the development of culture, sports and tourism in recent times, this will be the material for journalists to have more articles, for the cause of developing Vietnamese culture. Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh believes that this Award, besides honoring and encouraging journalists, will also contribute to spreading more inspiration to write about the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.

Finalists

According to the assessment of the Preliminary Council, the entries were not only numerous in quantity and diverse in topics, but also of good professional quality, gathering many large and small press agencies at the central and local levels.

Mr. Tran Thai Son, Head of the Professional and Communications Department, Vietnam Journalists Association , said that the works all closely follow major themes, clearly reflecting important events of 2024 - 2025 in the fields of culture, information, sports, tourism and family. Some prominent topics that many groups of readers are interested in and exploit are the issue of culture rising in the new era of the nation, opportunities in building and developing the entertainment industry, film market, book market and reading culture; developing tourism, sports, building families, protecting children; preserving and promoting, the issue of preserving relics, Vietnamese cultural heritage, culture of 54 ethnic groups in particular such as worshiping Hung Kings, worshiping Than Nong, beliefs in the Three Religions...

The closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" is expected to be held in November 2025 in Hanoi , with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, ministries, central agencies, press agencies and outstanding journalists.
