In just nearly 4 months of launching, up to August 10, 2025 (according to the postmark ), the Secretariat - Synthesis of the Award has received 1,040 press works submitted to the contest from most of the central and local press agencies. The quantity and quality of the entries this year shows the deep interest of the press team in the fields of culture, information, sports, tourism and family.

After a thorough screening process, 927 qualified works were entered into the preliminary round. Through independent evaluation and focused discussion, with an objective and impartial spirit, the Preliminary Subcommittees selected the 122 best works for the final round.

Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament Le Hai Binh spoke.

According to Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh: After 2 times of organization, the Award this time has changed its name to the National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture". The new name meets the criteria of being short, concise, impressive but encompassing a multi-sector, multi-field Ministry in the new situation. On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh requested the Final Jury to work impartially and seriously to select the best works to honor in the upcoming summary and award ceremony.

According to the assessment of the Preliminary Council, the entries are not only high in quantity and diverse in topics, but also of good professional quality, gathering many large and small press agencies at the central and local levels. The works all adhere to major themes, clearly reflecting important events of 2024-2025 in the fields of culture, information, sports, tourism and family. Some prominent topics that many groups of authors are interested in and exploit include: The position and role of culture in the new era of the nation; opportunities in building and developing the entertainment industry; preserving and promoting, conserving Vietnamese cultural relics and heritage; innovation and copyright in the field of culture in the current digital environment...

The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held in November 2025 in Hanoi.
