170 stocks to be excluded from margin lending in the last quarter of 2024

From October 10, 85 stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) were not granted margin in the fourth quarter of 2024. Most of these stocks were warned, controlled, restricted from trading, or suspended from trading, such as AAV of AAV Group Joint Stock Company, AMV of Vietnam-USA Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Production and Trading Joint Stock Company, MAS of Danang Airport Services Joint Stock Company, etc.

A total of 170 stocks and fund certificates are not eligible for margin lending in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Or businesses that suffered losses in the first 6 months of 2024 or accumulated losses up to the end of June 2024 such as VLA of Van Lang Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, WSS of Wall Street Securities Joint Stock Company... Besides, there are also some stocks of businesses that received conclusions from tax authorities about tax law violations including VNT of Foreign Trade Transport and Logistics Joint Stock Company, NRC of Danh Khoi Group Joint Stock Company...

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) also announced a list of 85 securities (including 80 stocks and 5 fund certificates) that are not eligible for margin trading in the fourth quarter of 2024, an increase of 6 codes compared to the list announced at the beginning of the third quarter of 2024. In total, in the last quarter of this year, there will be 170 securities that are not allowed to be pledged or margin traded. This number accounts for about 26% of the total number of securities currently traded on HOSE and HNX.

Currently, the margin lending regulation only applies to stocks and fund certificates trading on HOSE and HNX.
