According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, in order to proactively respond, especially learn from experience in urban drainage work and overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 (Bualoi), this unit requested agencies and units to regularly monitor the situation and developments of natural disasters caused by storm No. 11 in the city.

In particular, the Department of Construction assigned Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. and urban drainage maintenance units to strengthen control and deploy solutions to ensure drainage in areas that often experience localized flooding during heavy rains, in Thang Long Avenue underpasses, Provincial and National Highways, and main streets that easily cause traffic congestion.

Hanoi Drainage Company Limited and other units monitor the weather situation to have timely response plans to ensure urban drainage and support drainage for the Nhue River area. Increase on-duty response, urgently lower the water level on the drainage system and regulating lakes to ensure drainage in the city.

Hanoi Green Parks and Trees One Member Co., Ltd. and tree maintenance units are assigned to review and strengthen the support system of newly planted trees to limit breakage; check and trim the canopy, lower the height to ensure safety during storms. At the same time, these units monitor weather developments to respond promptly, organize on-call to clear fallen trees and branches when natural disasters occur to avoid traffic jams;

Clean water supply units ensure the supply of clean water for daily life to serve the needs of the people. In case of local water loss due to natural disasters, there must be a solution to provide clean water promptly: prepare mobile tanks and tanks and supply plans by stec trucks or other specialized equipment to avoid a shortage of clean water for daily life in the city.

The People's Committees of communes and wards direct departments, offices and specialized units to proactively implement approved plans for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, measures to prevent flooding and tree falling in the management area; urge, direct and supervise urban area investors in the area to maintain and repair the drainage system to ensure completion before October 5 as directed by the Department of Construction.
