President Trump's two sons just became bitcoin billionaires

(Dan Tri) - Shares of the bitcoin mining company of President Trump's two sons skyrocketed during its debut session on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

In its first trading session on the Nasdaq on September 3, American Bitcoin - a bitcoin mining company associated with the two sons of US President Donald Trump - more than doubled in value.

Specifically, during the trading session, the company's stock skyrocketed to $14.52 at one point. Then it cooled down and the stock closed the session at $8.04, up 16.5% compared to the reference price.

According to Mr. Asher Genoot, Executive Chairman of American Bitcoin, President Trump's two sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., currently hold about 20% of the company's shares.

With 908.6 million shares outstanding according to the filing on September 2, the value of the shares of President Trump's two sons is estimated at about 1.5 billion USD. If calculated at the highest point of the day, the value of these shares is up to 2.6 billion USD.

Previously, the Trump Organization's business focused mainly on real estate and golf courses. But now, cryptocurrency projects are gradually becoming a pillar of growth and opening up many attractive opportunities.

“Cryptocurrency is exploding,” Eric Trump said in an interview on September 4. “It’s at least 50% of what I do now.”

As co-founder and chief strategy officer at American Bitcoin, Eric Trump often likens himself to the company's spokesperson.

Previously, President Trump also repeatedly declared that he wanted to become the “cryptocurrency president”. He affirmed that he supported this type of asset and believed that digital currency could improve the banking system and increase the strength of the USD.

This year, President Trump's son has also traveled to Dubai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo to lobby for support for the industry.

Over the past year, the Trump family has launched a series of cryptocurrency projects such as American Bitcoin, World Liberty Financial... and meme coins introduced by Mr. Trump and his wife before he took office in January.
