Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc appointed as Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee

(Dan Tri) - Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On October 3, the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened its session.

Attending and directing the congress were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia.

At the congress, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's decision on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Politburo appointed the Gia Lai Provincial Party Executive Committee consisting of 60 members; the Provincial Party Standing Committee consisting of 18 members.

Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, member of the 13th Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, was appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Deputy Secretaries of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term include Mr. Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee; Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and related positions.
