Vietnam's two top pickleball players, Quang Duong and Truong Vinh Hien, have made valuable gestures towards their compatriots suffering from serious natural disasters in the North.

Inspiring the Vietnamese pickleball community

Quang Duong - pickleball prodigy, on October 8 had very admirable actions. On his personal page, Quang Duong announced a donation of 200 million VND sent directly to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support flood victims in Thai Nguyen province.

He wrote: "I would like to send 200 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to help flood victims in Thai Nguyen. Pray for everyone to be safe."

In addition, Quang Duong also raised an additional 200 million VND through the auction of the racket he won at the first National Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Tournament - 2025 held in Quang Ninh in September, to send to people affected by natural disasters in Cao Bang and Lang Son. Quang Duong's racket auction post is currently attracting many interactions. The amount of money from individuals and groups participating in the auction is made public through the comments section. "Not only are they players on the field, they are also examples of humanity in times of trouble," a comment left below Quang Duong's post.

On the same day, October 8, the runner-up of the men's singles event of PPA Tour Asia Vietnam Cup 2025, Truong Vinh Hien, also made a meaningful gesture towards the people in the flood-affected areas. Accordingly, he sent directly to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province a donation of 50 million VND to help the people of Thai Nguyen province overcome the difficult period.

Vinh Hien shared emotionally on his personal page: "I sympathize with the people of Thai Nguyen who were heavily affected after the storm and flood. I hope everyone will soon overcome this period, be safe and stronger. Together with the Sypik brothers and sisters - the children of Thai Nguyen, I would like to send words of encouragement and sympathy to our homeland during this difficult time."

Truong Vinh Hien is no longer a strange name to tennis fans and especially Vietnamese pickleball fans. He used to be a professional tennis player, representing Vietnam in the Davis Cup qualifiers. After that, he switched to pickleball and continuously achieved success. In the first Asian Pickleball Championship held in Vietnam in April 2024, he won a gold medal in mixed doubles, a silver medal in men's doubles, and a bronze medal in individual.

The volunteer action shows the community responsibility of Quang Duong and Truong Vinh Hien and the spirit of charity "helping each other" that they want to spread through sports , while also contributing to inspiring the Vietnamese pickleball community.
