3,000 delegates will attend the political and artistic TV program "Together to protect the country"

Kinhtedothi - Hanoi People's Committee has issued Plan No. 36/KH-UBND (November 14) on coordinating the implementation of the live TV program "Together to protect the country".

The program is chaired by the Central Propaganda Department, in coordination with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the Hanoi People's Committee.

Implementing agencies include: Hanoi Department of Culture & Sports , Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, city departments, branches and sectors, Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

This is a live political and artistic television program (with plans to increase the effect on the live and broadcast audience). The program takes place at 8:00 p.m. on November 18, 2024 at the Flagpole Stadium, Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center - Hanoi, with about 3,000 delegates attending.

Pursuant to Plan No. 534-KH/BTGTW dated September 20, 2024 of the Central Propaganda Department on organizing the live TV program "Together to defend the country" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Hanoi People's Committee issued a Plan to coordinate the implementation of the live TV program "Together to defend the country".

The purpose is to propagate and educate about the significance, historical, cultural and revolutionary values of the nation; to arouse patriotism, revolutionary heroism, pride, solidarity, self-reliance, national pride; to honor and show deep gratitude to generations of Vietnamese people who sacrificed their blood and made many contributions to the cause of national liberation and unification.

Raise awareness of building a strong national defense associated with strong people's security; consolidate national defense and security posture on the basis of a solid people's heart posture; gradually build a strong, disciplined, elite, and modern people's armed forces.

Encourage and motivate all levels, sectors, cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to promote the spirit of great national unity, strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, join hands and determination, build an increasingly prosperous and happy country and firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The content shows: the stature and value of our nation's thousands of years of history of using and defending the country, promoting the strength of solidarity to maintain the integrity of the country that previous generations have worked hard to build. The Party's viewpoint and Ho Chi Minh's thought on building the country together with defending the country, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland is an important and correct strategic task of the Vietnamese revolution. The great victories of our people in the Ho Chi Minh era under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the maturity of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 80 years; the process of building a lean, strong, modern army, promoting the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", successfully fulfilling the role of the core force in the cause of consolidating national defense, firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. The City People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports as the standing agency, responsible to the City People's Committee for coordinating the implementation of the program and urging units to implement it.

The Office of the City People's Committee coordinates with the Department of Culture and Sports to urge relevant departments, branches and units to carry out tasks according to the assigned plan; report to the City People's Committee for consideration and direction during the implementation process.

The City Police Department develops a plan to ensure absolute safety, security, order, fire prevention and fighting, and traffic flow in the event area; arranges on-duty personnel at the program.
