400 athletes attend the 29th Hanoi Journalists Association Sports Festival

(CLO) On November 1, at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium (Hanoi), the Hanoi Journalists Association coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to organize the opening ceremony of the 29th Open Sports Festival - 2024, with the participation of a large number of officials and employees of central press agencies, Hanoi and some neighboring provinces.

This year’s Sports Festival has the participation of more than 400 athletes from 25 units including reporters, editors from the Journalists Association, the press management agencies of the Central Government, Hanoi and some other provinces. The athletes compete in 6 sports including: football, men’s and women’s tug of war, badminton, table tennis, chess, and track and field walking.

In his opening speech, Mr. To Quang Phan, Editor-in-Chief of Citizen and Encouragement of Learning Magazine, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that, implementing the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", over the past 29 years, the Hanoi Journalists Association has maintained the organization of the Health Festival with the desire to create a playground for exercise, improve the health and spirit of members, officers and employees of press management agencies and press agencies.

At the same time, create a competitive atmosphere for athletes who are cadres, reporters, and members to strive to fulfill their political tasks in professional, technical, and propaganda work of each unit and press agency.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes enthusiastically entered the competition, under the enthusiastic cheers of friends and colleagues.
