400m3 of landslides block road to border gate in Da Nang

On the afternoon of October 22, Mr. Nguyen An, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hung Son border commune (Da Nang), said that the maintenance unit is urgently repairing the landslide on route DT606 to Tay Giang Border Gate.

Due to the influence of storm No. 12 combined with cold air, Hung Son commune has had heavy rain in recent days. Landslides appeared at Km65+100 of DT606 route going to Tay Giang Border Gate (about 4km away) in the early morning of October 22.

Initial estimates of the landslide volume are about 400 cubic meters. Authorities are urgently mobilizing vehicles to repair the damage and ensure traffic safety. Local authorities have warned people to limit travel through this area, especially during heavy rains, to avoid danger.
