On the training sea, the waves undulated like thousands of arms of the ocean testing people, two rubber boats of the 20th Reconnaissance Company, 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade rushed through the morning mist. 6 elite soldiers, equipped with STV submachine guns made in Vietnam, were silent but steadfast, all eyes were directed towards the far shore, where they would "capture" the simulated target in a special training session in early October.
The command rang out loud and clear as forged steel, the engine roared, and the boat accelerated. Bodies seemed to blend into the rhythm of the waves, white foam splashed beneath the bow.
In a split second, the soldiers jumped up and left the boat with a decisive movement. The cold seawater wrapped around their bodies, but their bodies seemed accustomed to such a harsh challenge. This was the training part of capturing targets on the shore, simulating the daring attacks that the Navy Special Forces had made famous.
Beneath the white-washed waves, they charged forward like steel arrows. Their decisive steps on the wet sand created a strong rhythm of courage and speed. Their guns were steady, their eyes never leaving the target, their breathing harmonizing with the sound of the waves and the wind. Each movement was the crystallization of physical strength, fighting skills and steel will, honed through months of hard training in the salty wind and fiery sun.
The distance from the wave’s edge to the supposed defensive position closed in an instant. The attacks erupted simultaneously, coordinated, fast, strong, and precise. The shouts of orders and the pounding of footsteps mixed with the sound of the wind like a soundtrack of the supposed battlefield.
Groups of soldiers crawled up, fired, threw smoke grenades, and then took over the high point according to the training scenario. From the perspective of the reporter present there, it was not just a tactical exercise, but a test of discipline, spirit and courage.
Just a few minutes later, the coastal target was completely “suppressed”. The mock red flag fluttered in the wind as a signal of victory. But for the commandos, the exercise only truly ended when every step of retreat, regrouping, collecting weapons, and safety check was completed to the last detail. Amidst their heavy breathing, they remained silent, the typical silence of those in charge of the mission in any situation.
Training ended, the sun rose, shining a golden light on the dark shoulders. Each drop of sweat mixed with sea salt, glittered like a medal. During the short break, the soldiers' eyes were still turned to the distant sea, where they knew, each wave, each water contained even more severe challenges. The spirit of courage, lightning speed, secrecy and surprise were the "trademarks" of the Vietnamese Navy Special Forces.
From today’s arduous training hours, the soldiers of the 20th Reconnaissance Company once again affirmed their mettle. The soldiers are always ready to land in any wave zone, ready to complete any mission, to protect the peace of the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
HOSPITAL RESCUE SITUATION IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA
In the middle of the vast ocean, where the waves never cease, naval commandos train day and night in simulated combat situations. For them, each training session is not only a test of will, but also an oath to be ready to sacrifice their own safety to keep the sea and sky of the Fatherland peaceful.
Early in the morning, the windy sea suddenly filled with the breath of a mock battle. The waves were white-capped, the wind whipped the boat, and the salty air seeped into every pore. On a small rubber boat, three scouts from the 20th Company - Naval Special Forces Brigade quietly entered the training area. Today's objective was to rescue a cargo ship hijacked by terrorists.
No sound, no warning signs, only cold eyes like steel under the black mask. The boat glided like an arrow through the waves, approaching the “enemy” ship. A short, decisive command rang out over the radio: “All team, take action”. In an instant, three figures rushed onto the deck of the ship using the rope ladder, opening the door to a lightning-fast attack in the middle of the rolling blue sea…
The first attack, from the port side, the scout was like a knife cutting through the wind. As soon as he stepped onto the deck, he immediately took down the guard with a short, precise shot. Not giving the opponent time to react, he dashed forward, unleashing a lightning-fast spinning kick that knocked the dagger-wielding robber down. A handlock, a backflip, and the target was subdued in an instant. It all happened in a few seconds, fast, strong, and decisive. It was a commando operation, striking quickly, killing completely, without a single wasted move.
The second attack, from the stern, the second group quietly advanced into the narrow, dark, slippery corridor. Suddenly, gunfire rang out, smoke grenades filled the air.
But in the mist of smoke, the black-shirted figure had disappeared as if melting into thin air. A sweep of the leg, an elbow strike as quick as lightning. The opponent fell without a sound. The close combat was silent, with terrifying precision, demonstrating the pinnacle of skill, courage and steely spirit of the special forces soldier.
The third and decisive attack point was the middle compartment, where the terrorist and the hostage were holed up - the fatal point of the battle. The special forces scouts opened the way, rushing straight to the most dangerous point. The space was narrow, the vision was obstructed, but they remained calm and flexibly applied the "raid attack" tactic. A smoke grenade was thrown into the compartment. A scream rang out. Immediately, the soldiers rushed in to control, disarm, and knock down each pirate.
In less than 3 minutes, the entire enemy group was completely controlled, the hostages were rescued safely. On the water, the mock battle ended, but the heroic sound still echoed like the sound of war drums in the heart of the sea.
When the command “end of exercise” sounded, sweat soaked their backs, but their eyes still shone with pride. On their sunburnt faces was the calmness of soldiers accustomed to facing danger.
Major Le Thanh Thuan - Captain of the 20th Reconnaissance Company shared: “Each exercise is a test of strength, intelligence and courage. A second of hesitation in the middle of the ocean can cost the lives of teammates. Therefore, we train not only combat skills, but also bravery and team spirit, helping naval commandos to always be steadfast in all situations.”
The sea was still rolling, but their hearts were at peace. Because they knew that wherever they were, when the Fatherland called, the special forces scouts would be the spearhead, ready to rush in, sacrificing everything for the peace of Vietnam's seas and skies.
As the commandos packed up their equipment and checked their weapons, the sun was just rising red above the horizon. Its light shone down on the bow of the boat carrying three black-clad figures returning to the mother ship, sparkling like the halo of a soldier.
