However, 5 strong young men still lost to the 9-year-old male tiger. According to zoo staff, through the tug-of-war competitions, the tiger has never lost.

Tourists excited to tug of war with tigers for the first time

At 2 p.m. on February 13 (the fourth day of Tet), many tourists were excitedly waiting to see the tug-of-war with the white tiger. In the 36-degree heat of Ho Chi Minh City, many people still waited patiently. "I have been to the Zoo many times, but this is the first time I know there is a tug-of-war with tigers program. In particular, this activity only takes place on a few days during special occasions such as holidays and Tet, so I tried to stay and watch" - Mr. Thanh Tung (a tourist from Binh Duong ) happily said.

The white tiger’s meal today is 5kg of chicken. The meat is tied tightly to a rope, then one end of the rope is threaded outside for visitors to pull.

The white tiger is a male, 9 years old. When he sees food, he walks around a few times to observe before eating it.

When the tiger started to hold the food tied to the rope, the tourists outside tried to pull it.

However, the five strong young men still had to give up on the tiger. "The tiger was very strong, we pulled with all our might but could not stop it. This was a very interesting experience for me when I came to the Zoo" - a tourist shared.

A representative of the Zoo said that due to the high demand from tourists to see tiger tug of war, the unit decided to organize another tug of war session during the Lunar New Year, which will take place at 2:00 p.m. on February 18 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year).
