AFC sends congratulatory letter to U23 Vietnam for entering the 2026 AFC U23 Championship

VHO - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that on September 11, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) sent a letter of congratulations to the Vietnam U23 team after they excellently won the top spot in Group C and officially won a ticket to the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Finals.

Also on this occasion, AFC would like to thank VFF for successfully organizing the matches at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ).

U23 Vietnam has entered the continental finals for the sixth consecutive time.

In Group C, U23 Vietnam started with a 2-0 victory over U23 Bangladesh, then defeated U23 Singapore and U23 Yemen with the same score of 1-0.

Winning all 3 matches, scoring 4 goals and not conceding any, U23 Vietnam entered the final round as group winners.

In the letter, AFC highly appreciated the resilient fighting spirit and dedication of the U23 Vietnam players throughout the qualifying journey, affirming that the team's all-win record is proof of the serious preparation and mettle of an ambitious team.

In addition to congratulating the team, AFC also sent thanks to VFF and the local organizing committee of Phu Tho province for their coordination in successfully organizing the qualifying round of Group C, taking place from September 3 to September 9, 2025 at Viet Tri Stadium.

AFC emphasized the dedication, professionalism and continuous efforts of VFF and local agencies that brought about a safe and thoughtful tournament, leaving a good impression on AFC officials, participating teams and fans.

AFC affirmed that it will continue to accompany and look forward to welcoming U23 Vietnam at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship, and at the same time wish Vietnamese football continued success in the future.
