On October 4 and 5 at the Korean Cultural Festival (Korean Expo 2025) in Paris, the performances by artists from the Vietnam Cultural Center in France, elaborately staged with traditional musical instruments, left a deep impression on French audiences and international friends.

Taking place at the 15th District City Hall Square in Paris, Korean Expo 2025 attracts the participation of artists from many countries to introduce and promote the unique culture of Asia as well as some other countries in the world .
The event, organized by the Association Mes Amis in collaboration with the government of the 15th district of Paris, is not only an opportunity to honor Korean culture but also to demonstrate the spirit of exchange and connection between peoples through music, cuisine and performing arts.

During the two days, artists from the Vietnam Cultural Center in France performed elaborately staged traditional music pieces and performed with traditional instruments such as the T'rung, lithophone, monochord, pipa, and two-stringed fiddle, leading the audience to visit different cultural regions in Vietnam.
The performance “Lullaby of the Country” brought a deep atmosphere, filled with love for the homeland through gentle singing, reminiscent of folk songs used by mothers to lull their children to sleep. The performances with the monochord made the audience silent because of its rustic yet sophisticated beauty, symbolizing the uniqueness of Vietnamese culture.

The performance “Tay Nguyen greets the sun” is performed with the T'rung instrument, with the sound of drums and gongs echoing through the mountains and forests, depicting the strong vitality of the people and nature of the Central Highlands. Festival-goers have the opportunity to join in the joyful and bustling rhythm of Vietnamese spring in “Spring Melody”.
With Along with traditional musical instruments, Vietnamese artists also performed famous Korean songs such as "Onara" or the soundtrack of the movie "Dae Jang Geum", creating impressive moments of cultural exchange.

Meritorious Artist Tang Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Center in France, said that, like many other festivals in France, attending the Korean Expo 2025 is a great opportunity to promote Vietnamese cultural identities to more and more audiences here. French and international friends can listen to sweet, melodious and heroic folk songs, and learn about some unique Vietnamese musical instruments.
This is not only an artistic playground but also a way for Vietnamese culture to be vividly present in the heart of France, affirming soft power and the role of cultural diplomacy in the new era.

For her part, Ms. Su A Lee, Vice President of the Association of Friends, said: We invited Vietnamese artists to perform at Korean Expo 2025 based on the close relationship between the association and the Vietnamese community in France. Vietnam and Korea have many similarities in tradition and humanistic values, so this is an opportunity to enhance cultural exchange between the two countries.
