On the night of October 14, at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) received an emergency aid shipment from the Australian Government for people affected by natural disasters in Bac Ninh province.

The shipment, presented by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, includes 320 kitchenware sets, 756 cleaning kits, 756 home repair kits and 300 blankets.
At the reception, Australian Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Renee Jean Deschamps symbolically handed over the above aid goods to Mr. Nguyen Truong Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention, and Ms. Thai Hai Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province.

A representative of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention said the entire aid shipment will be transported to Bac Ninh today, October 15, so that the locality can promptly distribute it to people in affected areas.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 13, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention also received an emergency international aid shipment from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to support people in Bac Ninh province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
