Bac Ninh has 3 individuals honored as outstanding Vietnamese farmers and scientists of farmers.

Two individuals were honored with the title “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer”: Mr. Le Xuan Nam (born in 1977, Ram residential group, Tu Lan ward) and Mr. Bui Xuan Que (born in 1987, Huong Trien village, Nhan Thang commune). One individual was awarded the title “Farmer scientist”: Mr. Le Ba Thanh (born in 1967), Master, former Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Mr. Le Xuan Nam is the owner of a comprehensive farm with a scale of more than 14,400 m2 for fish farming; 3 commercial duck pens with an area of more than 4,000 m2 invested with modern machinery systems such as automatic feeding machines, cooling systems, deodorizing systems... With a scale of 5 batches of ducks/year (each batch has about 30,000 - 40,000 ducks), Mr. Nam earns a profit of more than 800 million VND/batch of ducks, not to mention the profit from raising pigs and fish.

Besides enriching himself, Mr. Nam also actively supports many farming households in difficulty with breeds, capital, and livestock farming techniques with an amount of about 80 million VND/year.

Mr. Bui Xuan Que (born in 1987, Trien village, Nhan Thang commune) is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Xuan Mai General Agricultural Service Cooperative, specializing in producing safe vegetables and fruits with a scale of 14 hectares, including 5,250 m2 of greenhouses and greenhouses, with a total investment of more than 8 billion VND. The cooperative achieves an average annual revenue of 6.5 billion VND, a profit of 1.2 billion VND, creating regular jobs for 25 workers.

Mr. Le Ba Thanh (born in 1967), Master, former Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, was awarded the title of “Farmer Scientist” with the initiative “Building a model of applying advanced grafting techniques to restructure lychee varieties in Bac Giang province (old)”. His initiative has been applied in practice and brought about practical results.

The honoring ceremony is an annual activity to honor typical and exemplary farmers, who not only enrich themselves and their families, create jobs for workers, but are also an important factor in promoting and spreading the movement of farmers competing in production and good business, contributing to agricultural development, building new rural areas and building a strong Vietnamese peasant class.
