Many opinions about difficulties were informed by the facility through working sessions. |
In Huong An ward, in late September and early October 2025, the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee organized working groups to work directly with Party cells, heads of residential groups, heads of front work committees and organizations in each residential area. What is special is that the working sessions took place right at the community center, a familiar and close place, helping people boldly express their thoughts, aspirations and reflect on problems in daily life.
In an open and democratic atmosphere, many practical opinions were raised, from the limitations of the residential group cadres in using information technology, to the degraded traffic infrastructure, lack of playgrounds and cultural houses for youth... Each opinion, no matter how small, was listened to, shared and discussed by the ward leaders to find solutions.
Mr. Truong Quang Trung, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Huong An Ward emphasized: "Going to the grassroots and having dialogue with the people is not a formality but a regular task. Each time we listen, we understand the people better to adjust and act more practically."
After the meetings, the Party Committee of Huong An Ward planned to open an IT training course for the staff of the residential group, and at the same time proposed capital to upgrade the infrastructure, gradually perfecting the cultural institutions serving the community. From these specific actions, the spirit of "listening to the people - understanding the people's thoughts - doing what the people believe" has truly spread.
In Binh Dien commune, the spirit of “being close to the people, serving the people” is also concretized through practical actions. Recently, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee organized a series of conferences to listen to and directly dialogue with the people in 22 villages in the area. Each working session was full of village cadres, unions and people, who directly reflected and contributed ideas to build the Party and government.
The opinions focused on issues related to life, such as land management, environmental protection, infrastructure construction, agricultural production development and security and order maintenance. Before each opinion, the leaders of Binh Dien commune exchanged frankly, answered within their authority, and at the same time noted the contents beyond their authority to report to the Party Committee Standing Committee for consideration and direction.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Binh Dien Commune Party Committee, shared: “We consider each dialogue conference an opportunity for the Party to be closer to the people and for the people to understand the Party better. The sincere opinions of the people are valuable materials for us to perfect policies and guidelines that are close to life.”
Not only stopping at dialogue, the commune leaders also directly visited the economic development model of the people, listened to their thoughts and proposed specific support methods. These methods have contributed to strengthening the people's trust, creating motivation for the emulation movement to develop the socio-economy in the highlands.
From Huong An to Binh Dien, from urban to mountainous areas, one can clearly see a positive movement in the leadership thinking of grassroots Party committees: Words go hand in hand with actions, close to the people to understand them, listen to act. Each dialogue, each grassroots trip not only brings solutions to immediate problems, but also fosters the close relationship between the Party and the People.
That is the way to strengthen people's trust, the foundation for Hue City Party Committee to continue to promote its leadership role, improve the effectiveness of the two-level local government; build Hue City to develop sustainably and rich in identity, where all Party policies originate from life, for the life of the people.
