The electronic boards of many securities companies 'froze' during the session when liquidity exceeded 80,000 billion.

According to feedback from many investors, some stock trading applications encountered technical problems such as lost connection or interruption, making it impossible to place orders in a timely manner at certain times during the session.

At the close of trading on July 29, the total transaction value on the HoSE stock exchange recorded a record of nearly 72,000 billion VND, with about 2.7 billion shares being "changed hands".

If all three floors are combined, the total market liquidity exceeds 80,000 billion VND - a number that has never appeared in trading history.

The sudden increase in selling pressure caused the VN-Index to plunge 64 points. The two indices HNX-Index and UPCoM-Index could not avoid the negative trend and were both submerged in red.

The accumulated gains after many consecutive sessions of increase, which had brought the VN-Index to a new historical peak, were quickly wiped out in just one session.

Notably, along with the sudden increase in trading volume, many investors reported that the electronic price boards of many securities companies were "frozen". As a result, monitoring the fluctuations of indices and stock prices was interrupted and untimely.

For example, the price board at VNDirect Securities Company still shows that VN-Index decreased by 25.66 points at the end of the session, while the actual decrease was nearly three times larger than this number.

Not only VNDirect, the electronic boards of many other securities companies also have flickering phenomena, causing discomfort to investors.

Even on many stock forums, many investors said they could not place orders to "exit the goods". A representative of a securities company said this situation was unavoidable due to the sudden increase in traffic.

Returning to the market developments, today's session recorded a strong wave of selling, focusing mainly on the group of stocks that had increased "hotly" in the past time. In which, the securities group became the focus of adjustment with the deepest decrease.

Specifically, the index representing the securities group decreased by 6%, with liquidity reaching more than 16,000 billion VND. Most of the large codes in the industry such as VIX, SSI, VND, HCM, VCI were sold heavily and decreased deeply.

The banking group - the main driving force of the market in recent sessions - could not avoid the pressure. This sector index lost 4.75% and led the market in transaction value, reaching nearly 17,500 billion VND.

Many pillar codes such asSHB , MBB, TPB, EIB, HDB fell to a state of sharp decrease or close to the floor. The rare bright spot was SGB, up 2.26%, becoming the only stock in the group to maintain green.

The real estate group was also heavily affected, falling by an average of 3.5%, with a series of large codes such as CEO, DIG, DXG, NVL, PDR, TCH, CII, HDC... hitting the floor.

Despite the overall negative trend, some small-cap stocks unexpectedly broke out. DLG (Duc Long Gia Lai ) hit the ceiling, while SCR (Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate) increased by nearly 4%, going against the rest of the market.
