Southeast Asian newspaper says heartwarming words about Vietnamese fans and Lach Tray stadium

(Dan Tri) - The wonderful atmosphere at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) at the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Tournament was praised by Southeast Asian media.

Vietnam women's team won 7-0 against Indonesia

The ASEAN Football website, which specializes in Southeast Asian football, almost exclaimed: “12,680 hearts beat as one at Lach Tray Stadium! The stands at this stadium were dyed red by the 12,680 passionate fans mentioned above.”

“They energized the Vietnam women's football team in their match against the Indonesian women's football team,” ASEAN Football continued.

It is important to note that women's football is a sport that is quite selective in terms of its audience. It is not common for a women's football match to attract more than 10,000 spectators.

In particular, this was only a group stage match of the regional tournament, and was not a crucial match for the home team, due to the huge difference in skill level between the Vietnamese women's team and Indonesia. However, the audience still came to the stadium in large numbers.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Suara newspaper reported: “The match on Saturday (August 9) ended with a 7-0 victory for the home team Vietnam over the Indonesian women’s team. This was the match at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong.”

“The Indonesian women’s team always had to face a lot of pressure, while the host team Vietnam played a relentless attack. They dominated from start to finish and forced Indonesia to accept a heavy defeat,” the same lines were written in the newspaper of the archipelago country.
