Bao Phuong Vinh sets world record at World Cup Billiards

In the match at round 4 of the Antwerp World Cup 2025 taking place in Belgium on the night of October 9 (Vietnam time), Bao Phuong Vinh set a world record by becoming the player with the highest scoring efficiency in World Cup history with 10 points/turn.

In this match, Bao Phuong Vinh must win against David Pennor (Sweden) to get a ticket to the next round after drawing 40-40 with Joseba Escribano (Spain) in the first round.

VHO - 2023 World Champion Bao Phuong Vinh has excellently won the SCTV Cup 2025 International 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Championship, the tournament with the largest prize value in the history of Vietnamese 3-Cushion Carom Billiards with the championship prize of 500 million VND.

The 2023 World Championship champion opened with a 3-point shot. On the second base, he launched a series of up to 25 points that made the whole audience applaud loudly.

After scoring a 2-point series in the 3rd turn, the 1995-born Vietnamese player continued to hit a 10-point shot, thereby ending the match with a 40-5 victory after only 4 turns.

With an efficiency of 10 points/turn, Bao Phuong Vinh set a record for extremely rare parameters in the world of 3-cushion carom and has never appeared at the World Cup arena.

Along with Bao Phuong Vinh, two other Vietnamese players passed the fourth qualifying round: Chiem Hong Thai and Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu.

This also means that Vietnam has 5 players in the main round of Antwerp World Cup 2025, including: Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Thanh Luc (2 seeded players are placed separately), Bao Phuong Vinh, Chiem Hong Thai and Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu.
