The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that after entering the coastal waters from Hue City to Da Nang, the tropical depression (weakened from storm No. 12) weakened into a low pressure area.

At 7am this morning, the strongest wind in the center of the low pressure area dropped below level 6 (below 39km/h).

It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the low pressure area will continue to move mainly in the southwest direction, weaken and gradually dissipate.

Due to the influence of cold air strengthening combined with easterly wind disturbances and post-storm circulation, the situation of heavy rain in the Central region and strong winds at sea is still complicated. It is necessary to pay attention to the next forecast bulletins of heavy rain and strong winds at sea.

Specifically, from early this morning to tomorrow night, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places will have very heavy rain.

Total rainfall is generally 100-200mm, in some places over 300mm. Warning of rain intensity greater than 150mm/3 hours.

Particularly, the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang City will have heavy to very heavy rain. Total rainfall is commonly 200-400mm, in some places over 700mm.

In addition, today and tonight, the area from Gia Lai to Lam Dong and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 15-30mm, in some places over 80mm.

In addition, the tropical depression near the East Sea is currently at level 7 (50-61km/h), gusting to level 9. This form is moving southwest at a speed of about 10-15km/h.

This tropical depression will enter the East Sea this afternoon to early tomorrow morning.
