Abandoned 4-year-old boy with birth certificate issued by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan

After arriving at the location the person who booked the car told, the Green SM taxi driver took the boy to a hotel as requested. However, when they arrived at the meeting point, there was no one to pick up the boy, while the phone of the woman who booked the car was... turned off, so the taxi driver had to take the boy to the police station to report.

This afternoon (October 20), Nha Trang Ward Police ( Khanh Hoa ) coordinated with relevant agencies to transfer an abandoned baby boy to Khanh Hoa Social Protection and Social Work Center for temporary care and nurturing while waiting for verification results and searching for relatives.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 19, a woman used the Xanh SM application to book a taxi to Le Dai Hanh Street, Nha Trang Ward, to take a 4-year-old boy to a hotel at 80A Tran Phu, Nha Trang Ward to meet his biological father who was there. However, when the Xanh SM taxi driver took the boy to the meeting point, no one came to pick him up. The phone number of the woman who booked the taxi was used many times but was always… out of coverage area.

The police and the Department of Culture and Society of Nha Trang ward temporarily transferred the abandoned baby boy to the Khanh Hoa Social Protection and Social Work Center for care and nurturing.

When checking the boy's luggage, the taxi driver found the original "Birth Registration Excerpt" No. 1736/Q35-2023/TLGCKS issued by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan on September 7, 2023.

Including the full name of the person recorded in the birth registration book as Le Tan Sang, born on August 30, 2021, gender: Male, ethnicity: Kinh, place of birth: Kanagawa - Japan; hometown: Thuan Phuoc, Hai Chau, Da Nang .

Mother's name: Pham Thi Hanh Quynh, (born in 1993), ethnicity: Kinh, nationality: Vietnam.

Father's full name: Le Tan Hung (born 1960), ethnicity: Kinh, nationality: Vietnam. Place of residence of father and mother: Kanagawa-ken, Hiratsuka-shi, Yokouchi 3744-1-201.

Birth registration at the Hiratsuka City Administration Office, Kanagawa Prefecture - Japan. The birth registrant is Pham Thi Hanh Quynh, passport number C6548282 issued by the Immigration Department on December 26, 2018. In addition to this extract, there is also a passport issued by the Japanese authorities to Mr. Le Tan Hung.

In the abandoned baby boy's luggage were the original "Birth Registration Extract" and a man's passport.

Faced with this unusual situation, the Green SM taxi driver took the boy to Nha Trang Ward Police to report. Along with recording the information provided by the Green SM taxi driver, Nha Trang Ward Police coordinated with the Department of Culture and Society of Nha Trang Ward to establish temporary procedures to transfer the above boy to the Khanh Hoa Social Protection and Social Work Center to receive care and nurture while the authorities verified and searched for relatives.
