Cai luong artist Minh Hoang passed away on the evening of October 20, mourned by his family and colleagues. For many years, the male artist worked at Tran Huu Trang Theater as an actor, assistant director, and deputy troupe leader, leaving his mark through many plays such as One Minute One Time, The Song of the Hau River, The Eye of Time, Dragon and Phoenix, Going to the Sea Alone, and Innocent Heart.

Colleagues share memories with Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi shared that in early October, she had a phone conversation with artist Minh Hoang. At that time, the male artist told his senior: "I'm afraid that if we meet again this time, you won't recognize me." In the next meeting, Trinh Kim Chi and many colleagues felt worried when Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang's health declined and his body became thin.

Before the male artist's passing, Trinh Kim Chi expressed her sorrow: "A dedicated, gentle artist, always devoted to the stage, quietly left the spotlight, leaving behind much regret in the hearts of colleagues and audiences. In that place, I hope you are always peaceful, serene and smiling as you always brought laughter and joy to everyone. I and everyone will always remember and love you, love you very much. Goodbye, my brother Minh Hoang."

In the eyes of colleagues, artist Minh Hoang is a gentle person, always dedicated and devoted to his work.

Hearing the news of Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang's passing, artist Huu Quoc was "shocked and stunned...". He shared: "So many happy and sad memories, as well as the hardships of our time together at school, and then when we graduated and performed for the Tran Huu Trang Theater's shock troupe in remote and difficult areas, came flooding back... I miss you so much! You were just awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the state in 2024 for your contributions to art, and yet... Rest in peace, my gentle and lovely brother."

Artist Thoại Mỹ could not hide her sadness when she had to say goodbye to Meritorious Artist Minh Hoàng. She choked up when recalling the close memories and the last conversation with her colleague who had just passed away suddenly. She confided: "Just last month, Minh Hoàng called to say that his health was better. He also told me and encouraged me about many things. How can I express all the memories of us sisters? I never expected him to get sick and suddenly pass away, leaving behind the regret of his colleagues and the audience." The female artist sent her farewell message: "Hoang, go in peace. I and everyone will always remember you. My would like to express my condolences to Huong (Hoang's wife) and the family."

Artist Minh Hoang (full name Nguyen Minh Hoang) graduated from the theater's 1988 actor training course, studying with teachers such as the late People's Artist Phung Ha, Hoang Ba, Ut Trong, Tan Dat, Ba Tu, Kim Cuc... He worked at Tran Huu Trang Opera House with many roles, from actor, assistant director, deputy head of the troupe. The male artist was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2024.
