Through the partnership, UOB cardholders in the above countries will enjoy a 10% discount when booking tours operated by Oxalis in Phong Nha - Ke Bang. This is a rare opportunity to explore the UNESCO-recognized natural wonders, while also encouraging the choice of responsible and sustainable forms of tourism.

In parallel, UOB Vietnam will launch a year-end loyalty program exclusively for domestic customers. Specifically, the 10 customers with the highest total points accumulated from using banking products (including transactions such as spending via credit or debit cards, registering or renewing term deposits, paying bills via the UOB TMRW Vietnam app, and maintaining a current account balance (CASA) of UOB Vietnam will receive a reward of an expedition to Son Doong - the world's largest cave, dubbed "A once-in-a-lifetime experience".

With only 1,000 visitors allowed each year and tours usually filling up 1 to 1.5 years in advance, the Son Doong journey is one of the world’s rarest and most sought-after adventure experiences. Since its launch in 2013, the tour has welcomed more than 8,500 visitors and contributed to the local economy and nature conservation efforts.

The partnership comes as adventure tourism in the Asia-Pacific region is experiencing a strong recovery. According to the World Adventure Tourism Society, visitor numbers are almost back to pre-pandemic levels by 2023, with hiking and trekking among the most popular activities. Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, is now ranked among the world’s top destinations for adventure tourism.

In particular, Vietnam has been rated by the UK travel magazine Wanderlust as a paradise for cave lovers, notably Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park with hundreds of majestic caves, a diverse ecosystem with 154 species of mammals and 314 species of birds, especially some new species discovered in 2024, continuing to affirm the special biological value of this place.

Recently, the prestigious international travel magazine Travel and Leisure also honored 6 caves in Quang Tri as destinations not to be missed when exploring Vietnam, including Son Doong, En Cave, Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Tu Lan Cave system and Va Cave. Each cave possesses unique geological features and offers a fascinating exploration experience.

According to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, in the first 9 months of 2025, the park welcomed more than 836,900 visitors, reflecting the strong growth of the tourism industry in this area. Of which, the number of domestic visitors reached more than 688,000, an increase of 2% over the same period last year. In particular, the number of international visitors exceeded 148,000, an increase of 18%, showing clear signs of recovery.

The management board aims to exceed 1 million visitors this year, with a special focus on attracting foreign visitors, to affirm Phong Nha - Ke Bang's position as a leading destination for eco-tourism and exploration in Vietnam.
